You were measured at three finger-widths, told to get it under two, and given a list of diastasis-safe exercises to close the gap. Months later, the measurement has barely moved.

What a Clinical Movement Study Actually Checks
A useful assessment looks at what happens when the body moves rather than relying only on a resting measurement.
Does the midline dome when you sit up? Does it bulge during a cough or sneeze? Can it maintain tension while you lift, carry, plank or move from the floor?
Those moments reveal how pressure travels through the abdominal wall and whether the deeper system can share the load effectively.
A resting measurement cannot always show that information because the body is not managing the same pressure demands while lying still.
