Your lower back keeps hurting. Here is why.
You rest it. You get a massage. It eases, then it comes back. That pattern is the clue. Something keeps loading your lower back, and nobody has found it yet.
The lower back is often the victim, not the cause
Most lower back pain does not start with a single injury. It builds over months and years: the way you sit, stand, lift and walk.
The body is a chain. When one link shifts, every link above and below it has to compensate. A stiff hip or a weak glute means the lower back moves more than it should, thousands of times a day.
Rest and massage calm the irritated tissue. They do not change what loads it. So the pain returns. This is the pattern we trace in chronic back pain relief beyond temporary fixes →, and it sits at the heart of how we find the root cause of pain →
Does your lower back pain do this?
- It is worse after sitting, and eases once you move
- It is stiff first thing in the morning
- It changes with position: standing, bending or lying down
- It returns weeks after physio or massage
- One side always feels tighter than the other
If you recognise two or more, a movement assessment is the right first step.
The third one is especially telling — why back pain changes with position, and what that is telling you →
Waiting for a scan does not mean waiting to understand it
MRI waits in Phuket can run to weeks. A scan shows structure: discs, joints, nerves. It cannot show how you move, and movement is often what keeps the pain going.
A Foundation Assessment does not replace a scan. It runs alongside it. If anything in the assessment points to a need for medical review first, Dr. Abhishek will tell you plainly.

Your story
When it started, what makes it better or worse, what you have already tried.
How you move
Standing, bending, walking and loading tests that show where the lower back is overworking.

Lower back pain, answered
Can Pilates make lower back pain worse?
It can, when the exercise does not match the cause. That is why the assessment comes first.
Do you treat sciatica and disc problems?
We work with many clients who have them. The assessment decides whether movement therapy is right for you now, or whether you need medical review first.
How many sessions will I need?
It depends on what the assessment finds. You will get an honest estimate at the end of it, not a fixed package.
Do you speak Thai?
Yes, our team can help in Thai.
